Jed Pauley- Chairman Email:
  Jed is a third generation Columbia Basin Farmer. Born in Othello and raised in Mesa, he always knew that farming was his future. At the early age of ten he started from the bottom up helping his grandparents and parents with their farming operations. As a teenager he worked for neighboring farmers while investing in his own custom business and by age 16 had purchased a combine and began custom harvesting. In 1996 Jed got his start with 300 acres of ground. Today Jed operates a very progressive, technologically advanced and innovative farming operation that has expanded to locations from Othello to Connell and south to Eltopia. Crops include silage and grain corn, triticale, bean, alfalfa, wheat and seed crops, while continuing to custom harvest. He is also a business partner of the agronomic portion of one of the newest dairies in the Columbia Basin. His office and shop are in Basin City where he is also a volunteer firefighter. Jed has been married to his high school sweetheart, Alyssa, for 18 years. They have two children, Ridge and Sierra. Most weekends he enjoys spending time with his family which includes watching his kids in spots and dance.
Ben Hesse - Vice Chairman   Email:
  Ben has been a patron of CHS Sun Basin since 2004 and elected to be on the board in 2014. He graduated from Kansas State in 2004 with a Bachelors of Science in Ag Tech Management. He is married to Kelli, together they have 3 children, Nicholas, Eli, and Lauren. Ben farms 1200 acres of corn, 240 acres of timothy, and 400 acres of beans.
Rod Schutte - Secretary Email:
  Rod was raised in the Othello area and is farming with his family at Airway Farms.  Airway Farms produces potatoes, wheat, corn, mint, alfalfa, beans, and peas.  Rod graduated from the University of Oregon in 1997 with a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences.  He worked as a biologist for Merck for 10 years before returning to the Othello Farm.  Rod is married to Katy and they have two daughters, Blake (age 4) and Avery (age 2).
Eric Williamson - Director    Email:
  Eric moved with his family to the Quincy Valley as a teenager and attended Quincy High School.  He also attended Washington State University where he earned a Bachelor and Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics.  He began his professional career at Farm Credit Services, where he worked in multiple locations and eventually became a senior Credit Officer in the Central Washington area.  In 1997, he joined the family farm operation near George.  He is a co-manager of the operation where they grow processing vegetables, seed crops, and cattle.  Eric served on his church board for 9 years and currently serves on the CHS Sun Basin Board as president as well as the New Life Christian School Board.  He and his wife Sharma have 3 sons.  When they are not busy farming, they enjoy camping, skiing, and hunting.
Mike Scroggins - Director    Email:
  Mike has been a customer of the Royal City location since the location has existed there. Mike graduated from Royal City High School and after one year of college he started working on the farm. In 1983 Mike started working with his father-in-law at Rexius Farms. He is married to Robin, together they have four children, Jeremy, Joshua, Kyle and Kori and three grandchildren. Mike enjoys spending his spare time with his family and grandchildren.
Main crops: wheat, corn, alfalfa, timothy and an apple orchard.
Steve Kennedy - Director Email:
  Steve moved to Quincy in 1979 and graduated from Quincy High School in 1988.  After spending four years at Washington State University, Steve earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Ornamental Horticulture.  Steve and his brother Doug took over the family nursery after their father passed away.  At Central Washington Nursery, Steve and Doug grow seedling rootstock for ornamental and fruit tree production.  On the remainder of their land, they grow row and seed crops.  Steve has served on the board of Columbia Basin Vegetable Seed Association for 14 years and held positions from research director to president.  Outside of the farm, Steve enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 children, fishing, hunting, and restoring old cars.
Josh Lawrence - Director   Email:
  Josh oversees a diverse farming operation with his father (John) and his uncle (Sandy) who have been farming on the Royal Slope since 1965. Lawrence Enterprises consists of apples, cherries, wine grapes, forages and row crops. Along with, an estate winery (Gard Vinters) and a controlled-atmosphere apple storage. Josh has been the CFO since 2002 and directly manages the organic apples, cherries, wine grapes and winery. Prior to joining the farming operation Josh started a wine importing business in Seattle. Hr graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in 1997 with a Bachelor's of Business Administration degree in both, finance and operations information technology. Josh has continued his education through The Executive Program for Agricultural Producers (TEPAP) in 2008 and 2009, as well as, the Association of Agriculturial Production Executives (AAPEX) in 2010.
